Gäbler, Katrin
Katrin Gäbler, born in 1970, is a public auditor and certified public accountant. She advises and audits business enterprises and nonprofit organizations. The primary focus of her work is national and international accounting and tax law. She is also a certified auditor for quality control.
Projects/matters typically handled by Katrin Gäbler include:
- auditing the annual and the consolidated financial statements of mid-sized German companies, federations, and foundations;
- providing advice on the implementation of the IFRS;
- adopting and updating accounting manuals and policies;
- providing assistance in the preparation of annual financial statements, including the calculation of deferred taxes;

Katrin Gäbler studied business administration at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, majoring in business taxation/auditing and marketing.
Ms. Gäbler began her career in the Frankfurt offices of the "Big Five" consulting firms of Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. During her nearly eight years of work in the area of mid-sized business consulting, Ms. Gäbler gained valuable experience in national and international accounting and tax law, in performing due diligence reviews, and in assisting IPOs. Katrin Gäbler was admitted as a German certified public accountant in 1999, and in 2000 she successfully completed the exams for public auditors. She has been with GGV since 2002.
Katrin Gäbler is a member of the board of the IDW, the German Institute of Public Auditors, and is the vice-chairman of this association's regional group in Hessen.
Ms. Gäbler's special areas of practice are: preparation of financial statements, statutory audits of financial statements, business management advice, accounting law, corporate income taxation, tax law, advising non-profit organizations, and VAT law.
In addition to German (native language), she also speaks English and some Russian.
