Rafael Chapa is the CEO of CAF Contadores Públicos, S.C., an accounting group that integrates financial, accounting, taxes, planning and auditing solutions that help people and companies to enhance their financial and system resources to get better results.
Born on January 4th, 1951, Rafael grew up in Monterrey with his 4 brothers and sisters. Their late father Rafael Chapa Senior had different kinds of jobs, for instance he was general administrator of an Hacienda, also he was an associate of a tortilla factory. And their late mother was a housekeeper, there in Monterrey.
Rafael attended public elementary school, so as public high school and state university (UANL Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León).
He entered to UANL for majoring
He started with an internship that later was his first full time job at Leal Tijerina y Asoc., S.C. with Rodrigo Leal Tijerina as his boss.
Then, he realized that he could give this kind of services by his own, so he started his own business. So, on august, 1988 CAF Contadores Públicos was born. CAF was dedicated to financial, taxes and intern control auditing.
Later on, in 1990 Grupo SIAC was established to complement CAF’s auditing with accounting and taxes services.
The reason for this companies’ success its in their client based orientation services.
Rafael is also a frequent speaker of taxes and accounting topics. He has held conferences in Monterrey for CAF Contadores Públicos, but he has also done it for the ICPNL (Instituto de Contadores Públicos de Nuevo León, the Accountants’ State Institute), IMEF (Instituto Mexicano de Ejecutivos en Finanzas, Financial Executives’ Mexican Institute), ITESM (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Monterrey Tech), UANL, among others. In addition he has held lectures in other cities as Saltillo, Mexico City, Nuevo Laredo.
Mr. Chapa is vice president of tax activities in the ICPNL and member of tax commission of the IMEF.
Rafael got married on October, 1976 to María Guadalupe Peña. They have three children. He is an avid reader and investigator of his topics, and he also enjoy a good game of soccer and a great weekend in Vegas.
