Marking a significant milestone in 2024, TAG Alliances® commemorated its 25th anniversary. TAG Alliances traces its roots back to its beginnings in 1999 in Massachusetts when founder Peter Appleton Jones embarked on his vision to create an alliance of law firms called TAGLaw®. Later that year, a group of ten forward-thinking law firms joined Peter in Paris, France, for the first-ever TAGLaw International Conference.
Since then, the vision and mission of TAGLaw has expanded to other professional services sectors through the creation of The International Accounting Group® (TIAG®) in 2003 and a division for Strategic Partners (TAG-SP®) in 2013.
In 2015, the Appleton Jones family seamlessly transitioned the leadership of TAG Alliances to Richard and Melisa Attisha. Richard, a lawyer and former partner at TAGLaw’s Vancouver-based member firm, Harper Grey, and Melisa, a chartered accountant with international experience, were uniquely qualified and perfectly positioned to continue the legacy of TAG Alliances and lead the organization into a new generation. Over the last quarter century, TAG Alliances has become one of the world's largest and premier multidisciplinary alliances, encompassing 22,000+ professionals, 280+ member firms, and 800+ offices in over 110 countries.
To TAG Alliances celebrate its silver anniversary, festivities took place throughout the year, including a celebration at its 50th International Conference, distribution of numerous loyalty awards for longstanding members, a commemorative logo, a 25-year timeline and more.
