The Benefits of Regional Meetings

"It was a great honour for AAB to co-sponsor the EMEA Regional Meeting with Burness Paull LLP (Scotland - TAGLaw) in June last year. The event was well attended, and its structure fostered engaging, interactive discussions on key topics such as ESG and opportunities within the Energy, leisure and hospitality industries.

The collaboration between keynote speakers from both Burness Paull and AAB played a crucial role in facilitating meaningful conversations among attendees. A special thanks to all our speakers—Bob Ruddiman, Colin Brown, Richard Lockhart, and Alisdair Freeman from Burness Paull, along with Alasdair Green and Ian Bremner from AAB. We also extend our gratitude to Fred Clark of Boodle Hatfield LLP (London, England - TAGLaw) for his valuable contributions to the session. A true highlight of the event was, of course, the whisky tasting hosted by Burness Paull. Huge thanks to David Morgan for sharing his insights—an enjoyable and informative start to the Friday evening, offering a fantastic taste of Scotland for those visiting for the meeting, ending with a networking dinner at the iconic Anchor Line Restaurant in Glasgow.
