"...Another Big Success for Us…"
"This year we began a secondment program with TIAG Member ESV in New South Wales, Australia. Due to visa restrictions, the secondment is virtual from our offices in India. This is another big success for us among many successful collaborations we have achieved with the help of TAG Alliances. We really wanted to thank TAG Alliances for giving us this platform that has given us opportunities to grow and scale up. We can see continuous growth through the ever-increasing alliance."
––Sumit Maheshwari; Ashok Maheshwary & Associates LLP (Gurgaon, India - TIAG)
“...Enhanced Our Firm in Both Their Eyes!”
"In a one week stretch, I had to send a client to Blaney McMurtry LLP (Ontario, Cananda - TAGLaw), one to Simon Fitzpatrick at Boodle Hatfield LLP (London, England - TAGLaw), and received a referral from Robert Levy of Kuit Steinart Levy LLP (Manchester, England - TAGLaw). For both of the outbound matters, the clients were incredibly impressed with the speed at which such relatively small matters were addressed. Plus, both clients knew each other and told each other about their experiences–enhanced our firm in both their eyes!"
––Jamie MacNeil; BOYNECLARKE LLP (Nova Scotia, Canada - TAGLaw)
“...A Big Step up for Our Firm.”
"We joined TAG Alliances in 2022, but it has already proved to be a big step up for our firm. At the Fall 2022 International Conference in Dublin, we met many different colleagues with the same goals, problems, and initiatives as our firm. It was a great opportunity. Thank you."
––Guranda Gorgiladze; Financial Experts Corporation LLC (FEC) (Georgia - TIAG)
“The Conference Was an Overwhelming Success for Our Firm.”
"The TAG Alliances Spring 2022 International Conference in Vancouver allowed us to connect with fellow attorneys in the Cryptocurrency space which has led to key introductions with proposed clients in The Bahamas. The conference was an overwhelming success for our firm."
––Jillian Jones; Delaney Partners (Bahamas - TAGLaw)
“Collaboratively, We Are Able to Achieve Excellent Results for Our Clients…”
"We successfully collaborated with Piper Alderman in Australia on the trade deal between the UK and Australia. Blake Morgan has a long standing relationship with Piper Alderman having worked together on a variety of projects and meeting regularly. Piper Alderman are a natural extension to our team when needed, with similar values. They are responsive, proactive and have the same pragmatic, commercial approach. Collaboratively, we are able to achieve excellent results for our clients across the two jurisdictions."
––Jill Bainbridge; Blake Morgan LLP (Southampton, England & Cardiff, Wales - TAGLaw)
“While the finer details of the new trade deal between the UK and Australia are still to be seen, we are working with clients who are positioning themselves for the benefits. Australian businesses have focused on the UK consumer market to fill a void lost from tariff hikes imposed by China. Our relationship with Blake Morgan is important to us as we look to offer seamless cross-border legal services for our respective clients."
––Simon Venus; Piper Alderman (Australia - TAGLaw)
“...The Guys That Went the Extra Mile...”
"In 2018, a Brazilian based entrepreneur we were introduced to asked us to find an accounting firm in Albania for a project he was setting up there.
The TAG Alliances team was able to connect with multiple firms in and out of the alliance and ultimately found us a local firm who could assist.
In 2022, 4 years later, this gentleman calls me and says that he never forgot about the assistance we obtained for him in Albania (he still uses this firm, by the way), and since he now had a project in Brazil, he had already decided that he wanted us as his accountants. Price was not a concern, he wanted the guys that went the extra mile to help him!"
––Felipe Pestana; Grupo Planus (Rio de Janeiro & São Paulo, Brazil - TIAG)
“...The Power of Connection Between People.”
"This is a story about our first TAG Alliances International Conference.
Let's be honest, a conference in Dublin was never going to be one focused only on work. The off-hours were as important as the days, and what happened after hours will be remembered even more than the fantastic keynotes, insightful workshops, and dinner menus. Why? Because of the power of connection between people. Because as the curtains fell on the daily agenda, we all turned from professionals to people wanting to have fun. And it was EPIC - which was, incidentally, the acronym of this year's conference slogan, "Every Person Is Connected."
Being a part of TAG Alliances is a value in itself. Having all those people around you, broadening your circle, and enjoying time with people from all over the world, from all countries and cultures, always uplifts me. When combined with the ability to add significant value to your business and your clients while remaining independent and "your own boss," it gives me goosebumps in the best possible way.
So, big thanks to Richard Attisha, Melisa Attisha, Chris Cervellera, Esq., Samantha Lutz, Fernanda Musi, Haley Bockius, Jennifer Clarke, Marco Hickey, Shane O'Connell, John O Connell and everyone else who made this event happen.
Also, thank you all for making me, the new guy, feel at home. See you in Chicago in May 2023!"

“...The Company Re-Signed as a Client…”
"We lost a client after they merged with another company seven years ago. In 2021, they came back to ask if they could interact with our international alliance. We have since had virtual meetings with Barry Nijkamp of KRC Van Elderen (Zwolle, Netherlands - TIAG), Wendy On of Fineman West & Co. LLP (Los Angeles, California, USA - TIAG) and Jaxa Chartered Accountants (United Arab Emirates - TIAG). Last month, after these interactions with our fellow TIAG firms, the company re-signed as a client with a fee of over 50,000 pounds."
––Paul Maberly; Mercer & Hole (London, England - TIAG)
“...Due to the Benefit of Alliance Firms…”
"We were able to retain one of the largest ready-made garment manufacturers in Bangladesh due to the benefit of alliance firms in Africa, USA, and Singapore."
––Ferdaus Rahman; A.S & Associates (Bangladesh - TAGLaw)
“...A Great Experience With the Client Very Impressed.”
"We reached out to Lisa Spearman at Mercer & Hole (London, England - TIAG) to assist with a high wealth private client. Lisa replied immediately and we were able to schedule a meeting for the client in London. It was a great experience with the client very impressed."
––Kurt Baker; ESV Business advice and accounting (New South Wales, Australia - TIAG)
“...The Very Next Day I Got the Answer.”
“Just one day before attending the TAG Alliances Spring 2022 International Conference in Vancouver, a client came to me with a question concerning Czech Republic. I sent the question from my laptop in Vancouver to the Czech TAGLaw member Z/C/H Legal v.o.s. and the very next day I got the answer. Wow!”
––Markus Dankl; INTERCURA Treuhand-und Revisionsgesellschaft m.b.H. (Austria - TIAG)
“...Returned the Favor…”
“We engaged Black Helterline LLP (Oregon, USA - TAGLaw) to act as local counsel for a litigation starting in 2021. Eight months later, they returned the favor by asking us for help advising a client regarding the sale of their business."
––Chris Hill; Kirton McConkie, PC (Idaho & Utah, USA - TAGLaw)
"Our Ability to Refer the Client to a Fellow TAGLaw Member…"
"We had a client that we were courting. Before they retained us, they came to us with an urgent need for Indian litigation counsel. Our ability to refer them to fellow TAGLaw member Kochhar & Co. (India - TAGLaw), resulted in our being bumped to the top of their referral list.
––Chad Kopach; Blaney McMurtry LLP (Ontario, Canada - TAGLaw)
"...We Work Collaboratively in a Number of Areas."
"Blake Morgan has an established relationship with LK Shields Solicitors LLP (Ireland - TAGLaw) where we work collaboratively in a number of areas. Over the last few years, the Blake Morgan corporate team have been asked to help with work where Irish transactions have an English law aspect – and a number of matters have been referred back.
In 2022, we were asked to advise one of LK Shields' Irish clients with a UK subsidiary, looking for advice on a UK transaction (and investment in another UK company). We then established a direct relationship and lead on the transaction. Even though it didn't go entirely as expected following due diligence, the referral resulted in a good piece of work – our largest of the year via a TAG firm, as well as an ongoing client relationship with strong potential for more work in the future.”
––Martin Kay; Blake Morgan LLP (Southampton, England & Cardiff, Wales - TAGLaw)
"Having Access to the TAGLaw Network Was Very Valuable to Me..."
"We had a project was for a new client in the technology sector who is growing rapidly in the Asian region. Some of the senior executives had previously worked with a competitor and through their networks were aware that a number of talented individuals in various countries were wanting to leave the competitor due to a decline in its culture and strategy. Our client needed advice in these jurisdictions as to the enforceability of the typical restraint clause used in the competitor’s employment agreements. We reached out to the TAGLaw firms in the applicable countries including Silk Legal Company Ltd. (Thailand), Siguion Reyna, Montecillo & Ongsiako Law Offices (Philippines), Law Office Yang & Co (Indonesia) and Russin & Vecchi (Vietnam). Each firm delivered prompt advice and were also very responsive in providing further clarification where I needed it. This enabled me to prepare a report on the region which supported the client’s recruitment strategy by highlighting areas of higher and lower risk. Having access to the TAGLaw network was very valuable to me, as it enabled me to be responsive to the client and manage the project for them.”
––Lis Boyce; Piper Alderman (Australia - TAGLaw)
"...Enormously Helpful."
"Boodle Hatfield has a Chambers and Legal 500 ranked arts team. We have been working for some time on a matter which is effectively a title dispute over a Painting by a well-known artist. The Painting was consigned to Christie's in Hong Kong and was spotted by our client who has made a claim in relation to it. The painting is held at Christie's due to this title dispute. Whilst the dispute is ongoing in London, certain key aspects of the case, most notably whether the current owner of the picture is a bona fide purchaser, are governed by South Korean law. We have been working with SEUM Law (Korea (Republic of Korea) - TAGLaw) who have been enormously helpful.”
––Simon Fitzpatrick; Boodle Hatfield LLP (London, England - TAGLaw)
